Biography

Andy Kim is a Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, focused on applying machine learning and computational methods to biomedical problems. He develops 3D JEPA methodologies for medical imaging at Columbia’s Heffner Biomedical Imaging Lab and previously conducted bioinformatics research at Seoul National University’s Kidney Research Institute, leading large-scale proteomic and transcriptomic studies that contributed to first-author publications. He has also worked at the intersection of biotechnology and machine learning as ML Technical Lead at Valenyx Therapeutics. 

His interests span medical imaging, bioinformatics, and health AI.
