Biography
Elisa Roccia is a biomedical engineer from Italy who completed her Master of Science (MSc) at the University of Padova. As part of her master's program, she undertook a research internship at Columbia University's Heffner Biomedical Imaging Lab (HBIL) in 2014. During her time at HBIL, she contributed to projects involving positron emission tomography (PET) imaging and medical data analysis.
Following her internship at Columbia, Roccia pursued further research in medical imaging, including work on distortion-free 3D diffusion imaging of the prostate using multishot diffusion-prepared phase-cycled acquisition and dictionary matching.
Currently, Elisa Roccia serves as the Global Clinical Marketing Manager for Oncology at Siemens Healthineers. In this role, she focuses on advancing MRI technologies for cancer detection and treatment planning.
