Biomedical image computing for multi-dimensional imaging modalities; machine-learning on imaging, electronic health records, and omics data for patient stratification, prediction of outcomes, and disease scoring and subtyping.

Biography

Elsa D. Angelini, PhD is a biomedical engineer with a B.Sc. from École Centrale de Nantes and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University. She held academic and research roles at Telecom ParisTech, Columbia University, and Imperial College London, where she became a Senior Data Scientist in the Institute of Translational Medicine and Therapeutics. She has co-authored over 140 publications in biomedical image analysis and held leadership roles in IEEE EMBS, including Vice President for Technical Activities and General Chair of IEEE ISBI 2015. She has also served as Associate Editor for IEEE TBME and JBHI, and contributed to MICCAI and SPIE Medical Imaging conferences. Her research focuses on biomedical image computing, machine learning on imaging and multi-modal data for patient stratification, outcome prediction, and disease subtyping.
