Biography

Guillaume David is a biomedical engineer and researcher who earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University (2011–2016). His doctoral work focused on applying compressive sensing techniques to medical ultrasound imaging, where he developed innovative mathematical frameworks and algorithms to significantly enhance image quality and processing speed. This research led to a patent and multiple peer-reviewed publications.

During his time at Columbia, David also served as a teaching assistant, advising undergraduate teams on capstone projects in biomedical engineering. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University Medical Center (2016–2017), where he contributed to developing next-generation wearable devices for clinical applications.

David has since held various roles in the medical imaging and health technology industry, including senior positions at Siemens Healthineers, Liminal Sciences, and Orchard Ultrasound Innovation. Currently, he is based in California, working as a Senior Staff Engineer in Imaging at Orchard Ultrasound Innovation.
