Biography
Jian Chen is a researcher who worked in the Heffner Biomedical Imaging Lab as a Graduate Research Assistant from 2007-2008. During his time at Columbia, he contributed to the development of a "Partial Intensity Invariant Feature Descriptor" aimed at improving multimodal retinal image registration.
Jian Chen was also affiliated with the Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. Following his tenure at Columbia, he joined IBM China Research Laboratory in Beijing.
His research interests include medical image registration, computer vision, and biomedical imaging, particularly in ophthalmology.
