Biography
Jingkuan Song is a full professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), specializing in multimedia retrieval, image and video understanding, and deep learning. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Queensland, Australia, under the supervision of Professor Heng Tao Shen. His academic career includes a postdoctoral research position at Columbia University from 2016 to 2017, where he contributed to advancements in multimedia and AI-related research. He has received multiple awards for his work, including the Best Paper Award at ICPR 2016 and the ACM China SIGMM Rising Star Award in 2019
