Biography
Qi Duan, Ph.D., is the Program Director for the Division of Health Informatics Technologies at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB). He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University in 2008, specializing in medical imaging. Prior to joining NIBIB in 2018, Dr. Duan worked at the New York University School of Medicine, NIH, and FDA, focusing on medical imaging, image analysis, and medical device regulation.
Dr. Duan's expertise spans multiple medical imaging modalities, including ultrasound, MRI, X-ray, and CT, as well as bioengineering applications. His work addresses various aspects of the total product lifecycle for medical imaging technologies. He is also a senior member of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society
