Biography

Dr. Ralf Mekle is a researcher specializing in magnetic resonance (MR) physics and spectroscopy. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University in 2003 and worked in HBIL as a PhD student. His doctoral research focused on advanced MR imaging techniques, specifically on optimizing multi-contrast image acquisition using variable parameters and k-space data sharing.

Currently, Dr. Mekle is based at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where he works in the Center for Stroke Research Berlin. His expertise includes MR spectroscopy and imaging applications for neurological conditions, including stroke and brain disorders. He has contributed to numerous publications and advancements in MR technology and its clinical applications.
