Biography

Valentin Fauveau is a biomedical engineer who completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree at Columbia University as part of a dual-degree program with the BME-Paris Master’s program in France. During his time at Columbia, he was affiliated with the Heffner Biomedical Imaging Lab (HBIL), where he worked on using deep learning to identify pulmonary emphysema in CT scans.

Following his studies, Fauveau joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where he currently serves as a Senior Programmer Analyst at the Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Institute (BMEII). In this role, he focuses on the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques in medical imaging. His work includes creating AI-driven tools for diagnostic imaging and integrating these technologies into clinical workflows to enhance patient care.
