Dr. Andrew F. Laine received the prestigious 2026 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Academic Career Achievement Award, presented at the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference (EMBC 2026). He was recognized for his outstanding contributions to quantitative pulmonary CT imaging, the early detection of breast cancer through mammography, and cardiac and vascular ultrasound imaging.
